Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) sent back, word for word:

I used Firecrawl Alexandria's Oriane TikTok index to pull the most viewed TikToks with "meal prep" in the caption. One limit up front: this isn't an all-time ranking. The index holds about 2,400 matching posts, and the top results were all published between July and September 2026. So this is "the most viewed meal prep TikToks of the last few months."

What the top videos have in common

    1. Half the top 10 are probably paid ads. Videos #2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 are sponsored, and only 0.06–0.2% of viewers liked them. That like rate suggests the brands paid to push them, not that people chose to engage. Don't copy them as content models. The real organic winners are #1, 6, 8, 9 and 10, where 4–15% of viewers liked the video.

    2. A named, repeatable system beats a single recipe. Jo & Bart appear three times in the top 20 with the same "Frozen Block Method": cook a big batch, portion it, freeze it, reheat. @ailutokman's "salsa cubes" (4.8M) uses the same idea. These videos sell a way of eating every week, not one dish.

    3. They promise to take away a daily pain. Captions open with "What's for dinner?", "after a long day at work" or "busy mornings." The selling point is less work later, not how good the food tastes.

    4. Exact numbers up front. Fitness-style videos put calories and protein in the first line: "490 cal / 38g protein", "526 cal / 43g protein", "65g protein" (@aussiefitness, 4.7M). Serving counts like "makes 4" or "makes 12" show up often too.

    5. The full recipe goes in the caption. Most organic hits paste the whole ingredient list and method into the caption. That makes people save the video, and saves and shares are high: #6 got 68.5K shares and @aussiefitness got 67.5K.

    6. A family or a real person you follow week to week. @seattlehanddoc's best-liked video (858K likes) is a personal-story hook ("Apparently most of you didn't know we have daughters!"), not a recipe. Feeding a specific group works: teenage athletes, a postpartum mom (@munchinwithmaddie_, 3.8M), "3 stressful days."

    7. A clear call to action that leads to a product. "Link in bio" for a cookbook, meal plans or a newsletter, or "Comment RECIPE and I'll DM you." The top organic creators use meal prep videos to sell their own products.

    8. Format details. Pasta, chicken and rice bowls dominate. The organic hits split evenly between original sound (talking or ASMR) and dramatic licensed songs: Jo & Bart pair freezer footage with "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

What this means for your post

Give your method a name, open with the problem it solves, put the macros or serving count in the hook, paste the full recipe in the caption so people save it, and end with a call to action. Batch-and-freeze and high-protein are the two angles that work best organically right now.

Gaps in the data: the index had no transcripts, video lengths or top comments for these posts. So hooks and pacing above are judged from captions only, not from watching the videos.
